All 83 games from MGM Resorts NBA Summer League at the Cox Pavilion and the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nev. will be carried live on ESPN platforms starting Friday, July 5. The 11-day event will culminate with the Summer League Championship Game on ESPN2, Monday, July 15. Of the 83 games, ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNU will combine to televise 43 games. All games will be available to stream on the ESPN App.
Day one of ESPN’s coverage of MGM Resorts NBA Summer League will feature a highly anticipated matchup between two former Duke teammates as no. 1 NBA Draft pick Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans square off with no. 3 NBA Draft pick R.J. Barrett and the New York Knicks. ESPN will televise the game on July 5 at 9:30 p.m. ET. Mark Jones will call the action with analyst Doris Burke and reporter Cassidy Hubbarth. The trio will call eight games together from Las Vegas and Jones will call the Summer League Championship Game.
Game commentators:
Several additional ESPN NBA commentators will contribute to game coverage, including play-by-play voices Ryan Ruocco, Marc Kestecher, Jorge Sedano and Joel Meyers, analysts Vince Carter, Fran Fraschilla, Seth Greenberg, Mark Adams and Dan Dakich, and reporters Ariel Helwani, Sam Alipour and Sedano. ESPN will also collaborate with NBA TV commentators on select games. More information on commentator assignments will be available soon.
In addition, ESPN is ramping up its MGM Resorts NBA Summer League coverage this season with two NBA shows on site. Hoop Streams, ESPN’s innovative digital show will air live from Las Vegas on Friday, July 5, from 7-7:30 p.m. Cassidy Hubbarth will host Hoop Streams before her two summer league game assignments that night. Analyst Kendrick Perkins will join Hubbarth on Hoop Streams. The show is available on the ESPN App, Twitter and YouTube.
The Jump in Vegas
The Jump, ESPN’s daily NBA show, will head to Las Vegas for several telecasts from MGM Resorts NBA Summer League. Rachel Nichols will host the show alongside several top ESPN NBA reporters, plus analysts Kendrick Perkins and Vince Carter.

Cameras positioned ten rows up will serve as the primary game cameras. They will be supplemented by an array of additional courtside cameras and microphones, offering an up-close experience meant to simulate watching a game from the best seats in the arena.

Aerial Cam will provide a familiar overhead aerial look to those who have grown accustomed to this angle through video games.
Cable Cam

A cable camera suspended over the sidelines will take over as the main camera angle for this broadcast.. With the pace of NBA games hitting all-time speeds last season, Cable Cam will provide a unique vantage point meant to capture high-octane action like never before.
Summer League Fan Experience

With a focus on fan voices, in-arena entertainment, and behind-the-scenes elements brought to life, Summer League Fan Experience will capture the excitement of Opening Saturday Night at Thomas & Mack Center as the two LA rivals clash.
Dueling Homers

Dueling Homers will feature a pair of local NBA team analysts representing their respective teams as they compete head-to-head through in-game challenges, game predictions, and trivia, providing viewers an added layer of entertainment to the game at hand.
Coach’s View
July 10, 5:30 p.m., Orlando Magic vs. Brooklyn Nets
In concert with Coach’s Appreciation Day on July 10, this broadcast will focus on educating and entertaining viewers with insight from coaches and players (past and present), live drill demos, film room features, hoops vernacular trivia, and more.
ESPN.com will provide regular free agency news and information, rookie analysis and Zion Williamson coverage. Additional on-site reporters and commentators at MGM Resorts NBA Summer League this year will include Malika Andrews, Tim Bontemps, Jonathan Givony, Zach Lowe, Jackie MacMullan, Bobby Marks, Dave McMenamin, Kevin Pelton, Mike Schmitz and Adrian Wojnarowski.
