- ACCN Signature Studio Shows on Location
- Four ACC Men’s Basketball Conference Openers on ACCN
ACC Network (ACCN), the new 24/7 national platform dedicated to ACC sports, celebrates the opening week of the 2019-20 basketball season by taking its signature studio shows on the road this week to cover ACC basketball on ACCN.
Packer and Durham, Nothing But Net and All ACC will each be live, on location, at Syracuse and Duke this week.
“When we think about opportunities to take ACCN shows on the road, we want to be strategic to highlight marquee events across the conference calendar,” said Stacie McCollum, ESPN vice president programming and acquisitions. “We were on-site for the football opener at College Football Playoff National Champion Clemson so it only makes sense to be in Syracuse when it hosts NCAA Champion Virginia. We continue to look at future opportunities across all sports where we can amplify content initiatives.”
Basketball Season Starts Today
The 2019-20 basketball season tips off Tuesday, Nov. 5, highlighted by a pair of men’s conference matchups on ACCN – No. 5 Louisville at Miami (6:30 p.m. ET) and Georgia Tech at NC State (8:30 p.m.). Steve Schlanger and Cory Alexander will have the call from Coral Gables, while Jay Atler and Chris Spatola will be in Raleigh.
Two more ACC contests follow on Wednesday with No. 9 North Carolina hosting Notre Dame at 7 p.m., and reigning NCAA Champion No. 11 Virginia playing at Syracuse at 9 p.m. Chris Cotter and Dan Bonner will have the call from Chapel Hill and Dave O’Brien, Jordan Cornette and Katie George open the season at Syracuse.
A pair of nonconference games featuring Clemson against Presbyterian on Thursday at 7 p.m. and No. 4 Duke hosting Colorado State on Friday at 7 p.m., to round out the opening week of hoops on the network. Schlanger is joined by Debbie Antonelli at Clemson and Mike Monaco is alongside Spatola at Cameron Indoor.
Overall, ACCN will exclusively air 110 regular-season men’s basketball games in its debut season, including 68 conference matchups. The complete game schedule is available here.
Packer and Durham
ACCN’s daily morning show Packer and Durham, hosted by Mark Packer and Wes Durham, will be live from Syracuse on Wednesday, Nov. 6 and at Duke on Friday, Nov. 8, from 7-10 a.m. ET delivering news and commentary from around the ACC’s 15 institutions. Guests at Syracuse include Syracuse football coach Dino Babers, women’s basketball head coach Quentin Hillsman, athletics director John Wildhack and many more.
Nothing But Net
Nothing But Net, ACCN’s signature basketball show, will be live at the Dome on Wednesday, Nov. 6, for pre-game, halftime and postgame coverage of the ACC’s season-opening conference matchups on ACCN. Kelsey Riggs will host the hour-long pre-game show beginning at 6 p.m., and will be joined by Cory Alexander, Carlos Boozer and Cornette.
All ACC
All ACC will take its studio show on the road two days later on Nov. 8, making a stop in Durham, N.C., for No. 4 Duke’s home opener against Colorado State. Boozer and Cornette will join their The Huddle counterparts, Jac Collinsworth, EJ Manuel, Eric Mac Lain and Mark Richt on set at Yoh Plaza from 9-10 p.m.
