More than 1,500 women and men are set to join the 14th annual Women of Power Summit hosted by ADP in Las Vegas at The Mirage Hotel for four days of enriching programming for black women.
The event begins with a highly anticipated Macy’s shopping excursion at the Fashion Show Mall. Women will receive star-studded treatment with access to Macy’s MyStylists; pampering; great deals; and much needed girl’s time.
A highlight of the evening will be the 14th Annual Legacy Awards Reception and Gala hosted by Toyota and PepsiCo. We are looking forward to honoring Chaka Khan, singer, songwriter, actor, and activist; Cynthia Marshall, CEO of the Dallas Mavericks; Bishop Vashti Murphy McKenzie, Presiding Prelate of the 10th District AME Church; and Alice Walker, Pulitzer Prize-winning author!
On Friday, we have nonstop phenomenal speakers taking the stage starting with Bishop Murphy McKenzie in the morning who will help women set their intentions with Debbie Dyson, president of National Account Services at ADP. Later in the morning, Marshall will join Caroline Clarke, chief brand officer of Women of Power, and Michelle Gadsden-Williams, managing director, North America Inclusion and Diversity Lead at Accenture for a conversation that counts on how to enter from the center.
There are more than 27 executive sessions including executive career coaching and financial coaching presented by JPMorgan happening throughout the event. When women aren’t gleaning wisdom from their seats during sessions they will be networking and making connections that will help them elevate.
Some of the highlighted sessions throughout the event are “WoMAN Up!: An Honest Conversation About Gender in the Workplace,” presented by Georgia-Pacific and Koch Industries; “How to Cultivate Diverse Allies,” hosted by Pfizer; “Are You Board-Ready?”; and the SistersInc. Entrepreneurs Master Class. We also have a record number of executive career coaches who will be meeting one-on-one with women as they seek to level up personally and professionally.
On Saturday, we have an incredible lineup of women speaking as a part of our Conversations That Count series such as Tracey Travis, Lisa Wardell, Valerie Jarrett, and Symone D. Sanders. Powerhouses Stacey Abrams, Lynn Whitfield, Mahisha Dellinger, and more who will be imparting their wealth of knowledge.
In addition to all of our leadership development sessions, we will also be honoring 185 of the most powerful women in corporate America and in diversity. We searched high and low to identify women who are making a mark in their industry and we can’t wait to recognize them.
Each and every one of the three days consists of personal and professional programming that women will be able to add to the schedule based on their needs and desires. The days will also be filled with exciting activations from our sponsors including car karaoke, pampering, endless photo opportunities, and more.
Our star-studded lineup of heavy hitter’s positions the summit to offer something to every attendee no matter where they are in their professional journey.
We are looking forward to sharing more with you in our daily recaps. And if you weren’t able to make it to Vegas, tune into the Women of Power Summit Livestream to get your digital front row seat! Be sure to follow the conversation online by exploring and using the hashtag #BEWPS.
