Wu-Tang Clan member RZA reportedly went off the rails on hospital staff because they allegedly weren’t receptive enough after he sought medical assistance for his son, TMZ reports.

RZA’s son had an urgent medical condition and was taken to the emergency room. The rapper and prolific music producer reportedly got angry because of the medical staff’s lax approach and started yelling at medical personnel. Sources told TMZ that RZA’s response was so alarming to staff that police were called to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Officers reportedly left the scene without making an arrest or issuing a citation. Sources say RZA calmed down by the time comes showed up.

Movie in the works

RZA is busy developing a Hulu series about the legendary rap group Wu-Tang Clan. The 10-episode show, titled Wu-Tang: An American Saga, will be based on his books, The Wu-Tang Manual and Tao of Wu.

“I’m delighted to be partnering with Hulu and Imagine to explore the vast story of the Wuniverse,” RZA said in press release. “Wu-Tang through our music has always strove to inspire as we entertain. This opportunity to continue the Wu saga in a 10-episode series will exponentially increase our inspirational style of entertainment. In the immortal words of ODB ‘Wu-Tang is for the Children.’”

The Final Wu-Tang Album

Wu-Tang’s RZA says he tried to buy back an ultra-rare album after learning that convicted hedge fund manager Martin Shkreli bought it for $2 million.

Shkreli, imprisoned for securities fraud, bought the album, “Once Upon a Time in Shaolin,” back in 2015. Somehow the album turned up for sale on eBay and that’s when RZA put his bid in to try and buy it back.

“The first thing I did was call my lawyer, and I was like, ‘Yo, let’s go,’ ” explained RZA to Rolling Stone. “And they said, ‘All right, check with your contract.’ And it’s no, you can’t do it.”

A buyer almost succeeded in securing the album for $1,025,100 but the deal fell through.
