On Monday, July 9, Wimbledon’s “Manic Monday” – called “The Greatest Day in Tennis” as all eight Ladies’ and eight Gentlemen’s Round of 16 matches are played, unique in tennis – ESPN and ESPN2 will once again present all the action with all day “Cross Court Coverage.”

With “Cross Court Coverage” the first three days of the second week, ESPN starts at 7 a.m. ET (8 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday) and focuses on Centre Court all day where on Monday tennis legends Roger Federer, Serena Williams  and Rafael Nadal will play.

Meanwhile, fans will enjoy a “grounds pass” on ESPN2 with matches from No.1 Court and elsewhere beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, and at 8 a.m. on July 11 and 12.  ESPN2’s Monday action will be headlined by Major champions Novak Djokovic (12) and Angelique Kerber (2), plus an intriguing duel, Gael Monfils vs. #8 Kevin Anderson.

More Round of 16 plus Doubles, Juniors on ESPN+

The new ESPN+ subscription service will offer Courts 4-12 and 14-18.  This includes:

  • Court 12 where Camila Giorgi will play Ekaterina Makarova and American upstart Mackenzie McDonald faces former Wimbledon finalist #13 Milos Raonic.
  • Court 18 where play begins with Su-Wei Hsieh vs Dominika Cibulkova and Alison Van Uytvanck against #14 Daria Kasatkina
  • Ladies’ Doubles is highlighted by the first match on Court 9 – Bethanie Mattek-Sands of the U.S., just a year removed from a horrific knee injury suffered at Wimbledon, with Lucie Safarova (a partnership that has won five Major titles) vs the #2 seeded team of Andrea Sestini Hlavackova and Barbora Strycova.
  • The first match on Court 8 has Americans #7 Mike Bryan and Jack Sock vs the German team of Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies.
