Tamar Braxton says she survived her recent suicide attempt thanks to her boyfriend, David Adefeso.

Describing him as her “angel on Earth,” Adefeso found an unresponsive Braxton in her Los Angeles hotel room last month and immediately got help, according to PEOPLE.

The incident occurred on July 16 at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in downtown Los Angeles around 9:45 p.m.

Braxton says the relationship between Adefeso, Braxton’s 7-year-old child, Logan, who she had with ex-husband Vincent Herbert, and herself is stronger than before.

In a lengthy post, Braxton shared an old video where the two appeared to be joking about being engaged. However, this time, she announced their love for each other and ended the message with heart and diamond ring emojis.

“Although I been said yes in this old video… now and then, I couldn’t imagine what life would be like if you weren’t by my side. thank God I’m here and thank God for you ❤️‼️💍,” she wrote.

“I love you. You love me. We love Logan. Together forever,” he wrote.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Braxton was not happy with how she was portrayed in her new show, Get Ya Life. Braxton also said that for the past 11 years, she has been suffering in private due to pressure from the entertainment industry.

The LA Times also reports that the reality star says her longstanding relationship with WeTV played a part in her mental health problems.

“Over the past 11 years there were promises made to protect and portray my story, with the authenticity and honesty I gave. I was betrayed, taken advantage of, overworked, and underpaid,” Braxton said last Thursday on Twitter.

The 43-year-old entertainer and WeTV dissolved their partnerships after the incident, but her new reality series will still premiere on September 10.
