  • Hoop Streams Makes Season Debut in New Orleans Oct. 25 for Zion’s Home Opener

ESPN today announced it is expanding Hoop Streams to a season-long show. Cassidy Hubbarth will return as the host of Hoop Streams – an innovative, on-site digital pregame show – with a cast of top commentators, influencers and special guests, including featured analyst Kendrick Perkins. ESPN recently re-signed Perkins, a former NBA Champion, as an exclusive ESPN NBA analyst in a new, multiyear deal. ESPN NBA analyst and WNBA All-Star Chiney Ogwumike, as well as multiplatform ESPN commentators Jorge Sedano and Gary Striewski will also regularly contribute to Hoop Streams.

Hoop Streams, reimagined as an on-site pregame show last year, has added several high profile early season dates to its schedule, as well as Christmas Day, the NBA on ABC games starting in January, the NBA Playoffs, the Eastern Conference Finals and the NBA Finals. Hoop Streams is available on the ESPN App and ESPN’s Twitter and YouTube platforms.

The show will debut on Friday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m. ET, live from the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans when Zion Williamson makes his home debut as his Pelicans host the Dallas Mavericks at 8 p.m. on ESPN. The early Hoop Streams schedule is below.

Date (Time ET) Game
Fri, Oct. 25 7 p.m. Dallas Mavericks at New Orleans Pelicans at 8 p.m.
Wed, Nov. 13 9 p.m. Golden State Warriors at Los Angeles Lakers at 10 p.m.

Cassidy Hubbarth:

“I’m so excited to get started on my second season hosting Hoop Streams and build off of last year where we discovered new ways to reach and entertain NBA fans. This year we are not only covering more marquee games but we are doing it with a crew that includes insanely talented analysts like Perk and Chiney. We aim to set the stage with crazy energy, first-hand knowledge and a vibe that can only be captured by being on site and in the digital space.”

Additionally, Hoop Streams will be on site every weekend, starting Jan. 18, preceding either the NBA Saturday Primetime on ABC game or the NBA Sunday Showcase on ABC game. Updates to the Hoop Streams schedule will be announced periodically.
