ESPN returns its multi-platform coverage for the second year of the three-day early National Signing Day period as members of the class of 2019 begin making their college choices official. Seven of the nation’s top uncommitted high school football recruits will make their announcements as part of the five-hour event on Wednesday, Dec. 19—an increase from the four day-one announcements last year. New to this year’s event, coverage will begin on ESPN2 before shifting to ESPNU.

SEC Network will air conference centric coverage while Longhorn Network will cover Texas’ newest signing class.

2018 National Signing Day Special presented by Nissan
The 2018 National Signing Day Special presented by Nissan will begin the day on ESPN2 at 10 a.m. ET before moving to ESPNU from noon- 3p.m. Matt Schick will host the full five hours, joined by analysts Tom Luginbill and Trevor Matich. Luginbill, ESPN’s director of recruiting, has been instrumental in ESPN’s National Signing Day Coverage since 2006. ESPN.com’s national recruiting reporter Tom VanHaaren will report throughout.

The seven student-athletes scheduled to announce their decisions as part of the special include No. 18 Trey Sanders, No. 23 Nakobe Dean, No. 36 Evan Neal, No. 63 Keon Zipperer, No. 68 Noah Cain, No. 102 Deyavie Hammond and No. 128 Lloyd Summeral. Universities vying for these recruits include Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, and Texas.

SEC Now: Signing Day Special Presented by ZipRecruiter will air on SEC Network from noon- 3p.m. with live National Signing Day updates throughout. Dari Nowkhah will host, joined by analysts Gene Chizik, Craig Haubert and Greg McElroy. In addition to studio coverage, there will be reporters stationed at Georgia, Florida, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Texas A&M to breakdown decisions as they happen. Updates will continue during The Paul Finebaum Show presented by ZipRecruiter beginning at 3 p.m. SEC Now will recap the full day’s events at 11 p.m.

Longhorn Network’s three-hour special, Texas Football National Signing Day, begins at 9 a.m. and will provide in-depth coverage of the latest recruits to commit to the Longhorns. Lowell Galindo will host joined by analysts, and lifetime Longhorns, Emmanuel Acho and Ahmad Brooks. Alex Loeb will report throughout. LHN will televise Texas Head Coach Tom Herman’s press conference live at 5 p.m. and wrap the day with a one-hour recap show at 8 p.m.

ESPN.com
ESPN.com will begin coverage of the early signing period Monday, Dec. 17, looking at current class rankings, previews from college coaches and breaking news. With the early signing period running from December 19-21, coverage from Wednesday to Friday will include news, updates from campus sites and updated class rankings.
