Multi-platinum selling artist, fashion mogul and entrepreneur Rihanna covers the latest Vogue, glowing like a goddess. But in the June issue, she’s unloading about her new body positive lingerie line and opening up about just what kind of mommy she would actually be.

Rih Rih who has been having an impressive year breaking sales records for her Fenty Beauty line, talks to Vogue in the ‘beauty, bodies and boys’ issue about how her curves and edges have been shamed and how she’s come to accept her different body versions.

“You’ve just got to laugh at yourself, honestly. I mean, I know when I’m having a fat day and when I’ve lost weight. I accept all of the bodies,” she says, shrugging her shoulders.

“I’m not built like a Victoria’s Secret girl, and I still feel very beautiful and confident in my lingerie.”

Building a brand that represents her culture had true meaning to the singer.

“As a Black woman, I could not live with myself if I didn’t do that,” she says about creating a diverse make-up line. “But what I didn’t anticipate was the way people would get emotional about finding their complexion on the shelf, that this would be a groundbreaking moment.”

The beauty boss has applied that body positive concept to her upcoming Savage X Fenty, her direct-to-consumer lingerie line. The line officially drops May 11 and it has sexy, lacy bodysuits for “grown women bodies” and bras for more ample figures. Rihanna also said she wants to make sure that anything so-called nude actually matches up with a variety of skin colors.

She told Vogue that a sheer Adam Selman dress she wore to the 2014 CFDA Fashion Awards was “not my nude,” as she points out.

She said she wanted to create a line for real women with real bodies with dimensions that aren’t always represented on clothing store racks.

While her greatest successes are coming from the satisfaction of helping women feel good about themselves with products that speak to them, Rihanna said she’s taking time to also wind down and take care of herself.

“I used to feel guilty about taking personal time,” she says, “but I also think I never met someone who was worth it before.”

Does that mean a new love is making Rihanna’s heart flutter? Perhaps. Lately she’s been spotted out with Hassan Jameel, a young Saudi businessman.

Still, she’s fully committed to making a healthy work-life balance work.

“Even mentally, just to be away from my phone, to be in the moment, that has been key for my growth,” she says. “Now, when I come to work, I’m all in. Because before you know it, the years will go by. I’m glad I’m taking the time. I’m happy.”

When asked what kind of mommy she would be, she was happy to answer that too.

“I’m not gonna be able to take my eyes off my kid. I know that already about myself,” she says. “They’re going to have to force me to hire a nanny.”

While we would imagine that Rihanna would be quite a fun mom  raising a carefree kid, Lisa Vanderpump, the 57-year-old star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, is actually her mommy muse.

“Tell me who is a badder bitch than Lisa Vanderpump! She’s goals AF!” she says.

“She’s chic but still funny. She likes to be at home with her husband and then goes and handles her business. Maybe there’s a couple of thousand Birkins in her closet, but she’s still focused. I love that about her.”
