Wu-Tang Clan was for the children this morning on ABC’s Good Morning America. Hip hop heads are probably not used to seeing the Staten Island based crew performing first thing in the morning, but that’s exactly what happened today on what has been dubbed Wu-Tang Clan Day.

GMA host Michael Strahan showed off the official Wu-Tang Day proclamation which was created in honor of the 25th anniversary of their debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)The group then launched into a spirited performance of “Protect Ya Neck” with Young Dirty Bastard taking over a verse for his late father Old Dirty Bastard. The GMA crowd, decked out in complimentary Wu gear, rapped and clapped along with the classic track.
