Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch is preparing to hang up his football cleats for the last time, reports ESPN. Sources told sports reporter
Adam Schefter, the NFL star will retire for the second and final time after rejoining the league to play for his hometown team for two seasons.

Lynch, affectionately known as Beast Mode, played in only six games during the last NFL season because of a groin injury. According to ESPN, he “finished the 2018 season with an average of 4.2 yards per carry, scoring three touchdowns in six games.”

The 33-year-old began his career playing with the Buffalo Bills and Seattle Seahawks, where he won a Super Bowl championship in 2014.

Lynch first retired in 2016 after nine seasons in the NFL. The running back stunned football fans after he announced his retirement by tweeting a photo of his football cleats hanging from a telephone wire with the “peace out” emoji during the fourth quarter of Super Bowl 50.
