Ahead of celebrating its tenth anniversary next year, the Annenberg Space for Photography in Los Angeles has appointed Katie Hollander as its new director. Since November, Hollander has been the museum’s interim director.

Prior to joining the Annenberg Space for Photography, Hollander headed up the New York–based nonprofit Creative Time, where she was executive director from February 2016 through July 2017. (She had also served as the organization’s acting director, and had been its deputy director for eight years before that.) Hollander has also been the executive director of the nonprofit ArtTable, and held various positions at the College Art Association.

Wallis Annenberg, the museum’s president and CEO, said in a statement, “It was imperative for me to find someone who not only understands the founding vision for how the Annenberg Space for Photography has contributed to the cultural landscape of Los Angeles, but who also could propel us into our next decade with strong leadership and new, thought-provoking ideas. Katie has already proven that she can inspire others, and I know she will continue to build on the momentum we’ve achieved in our first 10 years with great success.”
