The European Fine Art Fair (TEFAF) has announced the exhibitors for its spring 2019 edition in New York. Some 90 galleries are lined up to participate, with 12 of them showing at the fair for the fist time, including Sprüth Magers, Luxembourg & Dayan, and Almine Rech Gallery.
TEFAF has two editions in New York each year—one in the spring devoted to contemporary offerings, the other in the fall devoted to artworks and decorative pieces produced before the 20th century. Like the fair’s most recent fall New York edition, this past October, the spring event will be held at the Park Avenue Armory. It will run, concurrent with the Frieze New York art fair, from May 3–7.
Sofie Scheerlinck, TEFAF’s managing director, said in a statement, “New York is arguably the most important global center—historically, artistically, and commercially—for the field of modern and contemporary art. We are delighted to be part of this dynamic art landscape, offering an unrivaled platform for exhibitors in New York.”
