Former gang member Keffe D, born Duane Keith Davis, admitted to being in the front seat of the car with Tupac’s murderer during an interview for USA Network’s documentary Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G, according to Billboard.

Davis also claimed he was in the vehicle with two other Southside Crips and his cousin, Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson was in the backseat. An assertation is has made in also made during BET’s Death Row Chronicles “Going to keep it for the code of the streets,” he says in Chronicles. “It just came from the backseat, bro.”

“I was a Compton kingpin, drug dealer, I’m the only one alive who can really tell you the story about the Tupac killing,” Davis says in the tape, according to  Esquire.

“People have been pursuing me for 20 years; I’m coming out now because I have cancer, and I have nothing else to lose. All I care about now is the truth.” Tupac’s murder has gone unsolved for nearly 22 years but there has been speculation to tie in Anderson, who was caught on tape being assaulted by Pac, Suge Knight and other members of the Death Row entourage three hours before the rapper’s car was shot up on the Las Vegas strip on September 7, 1996.

According to KTNV, an arrest warrant is being prepared after the confession from Davis.

“We are aware of the statements made in a BET interview regarding the Tupac case. As a result of those statements we have spent the last several months reviewing the case in its entirety,” the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said in the statement obtained by The New York Daily News. “Various reports that an arrest warrant is about to be submitted are inaccurate. This case remains an open homicide case.”
