Compared to all other U.S. digital sports properties, ESPN Digital was again No. 1 in September for every key metric.

  • The ESPN mobile app, the No. 1 most popular sports app, had its best month ever in September, with 20.0 million unique fans (up +22% YOY) and 2.1 billion total minutes (up +44% YOY).
  • The ESPN Fantasy app had 9.8 million unique fans (up +5%) spending 2.4 billion minutes (up +13%) consuming ESPN content in September.
  • Overall, ESPN Digital in September was No. 1 in the U.S. for unique users with 89.5 million, 15 million more than its nearest competitor (CBS Sports, 74.4 million).
  • ESPN Digital also was No. 1 in total minutes with 9.2 billion, which was three billion more than No. 2 Yahoo-NBC Sports (6.2 billion), and an average minute audience of 213,674, nearly 50% more than No. 2 Yahoo-NBC Sports (144,182).
