Days before the royal wedding takes place in England this weekend, Meghan Markle’s family continues to serve up major drama stateside.

Meghan’s half-sister, Samantha Markle, has landed int he hospital after an alleged run-in with paparazzi in Florida on Wednesday.

According to TMZ, Samantha and her boyfriend, Mark collided with a barrier while attempting to avoid hitting a car containing a photographer who veered in front of their vehicle while trying to get a clear camera shot. He says Samanatha, who suffers from MS, hit the car’s windshield and fell onto the floor mat, unable to lift herself up. She’s reportedly suffering from a possible broken ankle as a result.

Samantha has been making headlines all week thanks to the photos she staged with her dad, Thomas Markle. After the photo scandal came to light, Meghan’s dad said he was embarrassed and didn’t want to attend the royal wedding.

Days later, he changed his tune and said he intended to walk his daughter down the aisle, but his plans were thwarted as a result of the heart surgery he underwent on Wednesday morning. He is now unable to fly overseas to attend the wedding due to his recovery. He remains in the hospital and is covering from the procedure he underwent to repair damage to his heart caused by the heart attack he suffered last week.

“I’m ok. It will take a long time to heal. Staying in the hospital a few more days,” he told TMZ after the procedure on Wednesday. “Not allowed to get excited.”

Hopefully, Meghan Markle can get excited about this next bit of news despite the ongoing drama from her family.

Elton John is reportedly performing at the royal wedding on Saturday after previously saying he wouldn’t be able to attend due to a “scheduling conflict.”

No word on whether he will be singing at the actual church ceremony or the post-event reception, but we’re guessing attendees will be in for a treat from the man who was so close to Princess Diana.
