The Hollywood Foreign Press Association earlier today announced the nominations for the 77th Annual Golden Globe® Awards. Harriet star Cynthia Erivo was nominated twice; once for her performance in Harriet in the Best Actress in a Motion Picture/Drama category, and again in the Best Original Song/Motion Picture category for co-writing the lyrics to “Stand Up” from that film. Eddie Murphy was nominated in the Best Performance by an Actor/Musical or Comedy Motion Picture category for his role in Dolomite Is My Name; that film also received a Best Motion Picture/ Musical or Comedy nomination.

The 77th Annual Golden Globes awards ceremony will be telecast on Jan. 5, 2020.
