Chance the Rapper announced that he bought the local news site Chicagoist on Wednesday in his new song “I Might Need Security,” in which he also blasts Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Chance bought the Chicagoist from New York Public Radio’s WNYC, through his company Social Media LLC.

The billionaire founder of TD Ameritrade, Joe Ricketts, shut down the Chicagoist, sister site Gothamist and the DNAinfo properties in November 2017 after employees voted to join the Writers Guild of America East.

In February, WNYC obtained Chicagoist and the other sites from Ricketts, and has relaunched Gothamist in New York City, and sold off the other properties to other news and public radio organizations.

“I’m extremely excited to be continuing the work of the Chicagoist, an integral local platform for Chicago news, events and entertainment…I look forward to relaunching it and bringing the people of Chicago an independent media outlet focused on amplifying diverse voices and content,” the rapper said in a statement to the Chicago Tribune.

In “I Might Need Security” the 25-year-old Chicago native raps, “I bought the Chicagoist just to run you racist b*tches out of business.”

He also goes after Emanuel saying, “And Rahm you done, I’m expecting a resignation and open investigation on all these paid vacations for murderers.”

Chance also released the singles “Work Out,” “Wala Calm,” and “65th and Ingleside.”
