Night Gallery in Los Angeles has tapped Brian Faucette, a director at Derek Eller Gallery in New York since 2014 and co-founder of Brooklyn’s Know More Games gallery, which ran from 2010 to 2015, to be its new senior director.

“At both Know More Games and Derek Eller Gallery I have worked closely with a number of Night Gallery’s artists—Sean Townley, Mira Dancy, David Korty, Anna Rosen, and Rose Marcus—and feel personally invested in their practices and careers,” Faucette wrote in an email today.

Night, which opened in 2010, also has on its roster Cara Benedetto, Samara Golden, Awol Erizku, and Derek Fordjour.

“I’ve also worked collaboratively with Davida on several projects before, so it felt like a very natural move for me,” Faucette said, referring to Night’s founder, Davida Nemeroff.

The move ends a 15-year run in the New York art industry for the dealer, who was at Chelsea’s 303 Gallery before joining Eller. “I love New York City and will look forward to every visit here (I’ll be back for Independent) but after 15 years of working in New York galleries I was looking for a change and a new challenge,” he said. “I think there is a great deal of energy on the West Coast, and an exciting and engaged young audience.”

“It’s been an honor working at Derek Eller Gallery these past years,” he added, “and I’d be remiss if I didn’t thank Derek and Abby for giving me the opportunity to organize some amazing exhibitions.”
