Nora Abrams, Anne Ellegood, Jamillah James, and José Carlos Diaz will curate sections of the 2020 Armory Show, which will take place from March 5 to 8 at Piers 90 and 94 in New York. The fair will also include a new curated section, “Perspectives,” which will be staged on Pier 90.

Abrams, a curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Denver, will organize the first-ever “Perspectives” section, which presents historical artworks. Ellegood, senior curator at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, will organize “Platform,” which features large-scale installations and performances by artists, and James, curator at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, will curate solo and two-artist shows in “Focus.” Diaz, who serves as chief curator at the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, will chair the third annual Curatorial Leadership Summit.

Nicole Berry, executive director of the Armory Show, said in a statement, “In a significant shift, the 2020 edition will showcase an unprecedented number of curated exhibitor sections reflecting an expanded integration of modern and contemporary artwork. The upcoming fair will reflect our deepening commitment to providing a platform for leading curatorial voices presenting the highest quality of international exhibitors and artwork.”
