In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Jamaican independence, and in collaboration with the Jamaica 50 Celebration Inc. and the National Gallery of Jamaica, the Art Gallery of Mississauga is pleased to present Contemporary Jamaican Art, circa1962 | circa2012. The exhibition, which features historical works from the National Gallery of Jamaica, as well as works by contemporary Jamaican and Jamaican-Canadian artists, is on view at the Art Gallery of Mississauga from July 12 – Sept 8, 2012.
